What printing conditions are simulated?

• ISO Coated v2 (Fogra39)
• PSO Uncoated ISO12647 (Fogra47)

• PSO Coated v3 (Fogra51)
• PSO Uncoated v3 (Fogra52) on matte paper
• ISO Newspaper 26 v4 oder v5 (IFRA26v4/v5)

Furthermore:

• PSO Coated v2 Glossy Laminate (Fogra50)

• PSO Coated v2 Matte Laminate (Fogra49)

• PSO LWC Improved (Fogra45)

• PSO LWC Standard (Fogra46)

And, other printing conditions are available upon request, including reproducing your custom ICC-profiles and paper stock adjustments.

Are spot colors simulated?

Yes, most spot colors from Pantone and HKS are reproduced very well. The proofing printer ink system reproduces a wide color gamut that includes most spot colors. Proofs that include spot colors come with an additional spot-color-specific measurement report.

What do we need?

It's best to provide a print-ready PDF/X file with its output intent and conditions indicated; i.e. export the PDF as you would when sending to a printer.  If you have any questions, we're happy to provide immediate phone support.

How long does it take?

We usually begin production immediately after receiving your file and checking the data. Then, you receive your proof(s) within 2-3 hours by courier delivery in Berlin.

Why a color-accurate proof?

The only way to simulate real-world printing before printing is with a contract-quality color proof. On-screen displays (even today's retina monitors) and common digital printers do not accurately represent print results. With a contract-quality proof, you can review all aspects of the print data, content and design including typography, colors and image reproduction. A contract-quality proof shows you what will print, and it is a binding document for color matching for your client and print vendor.
